I am not sure what to do with myself today, as the World Cup is winding up towards the final and there are no longer games played daily. Never before have I been so enraptured by a sporting event and I did not imagine that I would be before I started watching. Mark asked me if I was sorry that I had never known about it before and therefore missed so many prior World Cups. My first reaction was YES, and then I thought about it and now my answer is no.
Everything happens in perfect timing and part of the reason I am getting so much joy from this World Cup is because it is my first. I will miss it when it is over and not coming back for 4 years...luckily the Sounders will keep me enthralled until then!
Do you get excited about any particular sport or sporting event? I never understood it before, and actually I don't really understand it now, but it makes me feel happy and it is fun so I will roll with it.
What have you done for pure fun lately?
