March has come in like a lamb, which is no surprise since this entire year has been rather gentle to us in the weather department. The frogs have been singing for a few weeks, the mornings are alive with bird calls and the light is staying around into the evenings again. Spring is essentially here and I am loving it!
We have been busy planning some fabulous events for you this Spring and Summer! A few hints of things to come include: A Spring party & radio show at the cafe in April; A day trip to enjoy the lowest tide of the year, including oysters & wine, in May; Dinner with an author this Summer; and so much more!

$3 Movies in Port Orchard
Monthly Sustainable Cinema Series
County Commissioner Charlotte Garrido has initiated this educational series that we get to take advantage of for just $3 on the last Sunday of every month.
Thanks to the county, each month a new documentary that has to do with sustainable living will be shown so that we can learn more about preserving our natural resources and living a more sustainable life.

Thanks to CKFR Chief Lusk our community has been given the unique opportunity to have a piece of the Twin Towers steel brought across the country so that we can build a memorial monument here.
