Whew! What a wild ride December has been!
Christmas was strange this year with so many friends and family being apart from one another. It has confirmed for me that one thing I want to focus on in 2009 is strengthening our community; towards that end we will be having some events that I hope you can make it out for.
We have some wonderful people and businesses around here and I hope we can all take some time to get to know one another a little bit better. Check out the links page on our web site to get started, and share with me those locally/independently owned businesses that you think I should know about.
I want to be a better neighbor to you, and I want to get to know my neighbors.

You may have noticed a new smiling face in the cafe lately. Her name is Rheycel and we just love her! She has been learning the ropes super fast and we know you will like her as much as we do so please give her a warm welcome the next time you are in. We are lucky to have her!
A Bit of Excellent News...
It was absolutely fabulous that she got to go home earlier than originally thought. They are all busy getting to know one another and becoming a healthy family, and we are thinking of them all the time.
