Bring us your sleeping bags!
Taking It To The Streets! Ministries is continuing with Operation Sleeping Bag this year and Monica's is honored to be accepting donations on behalf of them.
Last year Taking It To The Streets! Ministries sponsored its first annual sleeping bag drive, 'Operation Sleeping Bag'. Over 1000 sleeping bags were distributed to the homeless and/or impoverished men, women, and children in our community. There are many people who sleep out in the elements throughout the year, some who simply cannot afford to heat the homes they live in, others who do not have homes at all.
Unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, and the high cost of gas, there will be a higher number of people who will need sleeping bags and other assistance.
No one deserves to be cold.
All monetary contributions, in lieu of a sleeping bag, will go toward the purchase of sleeping bags at a discounted cost of $20.00 per bag.
