There are outdoor concerts, such as 'Silverdale Sounds on the Sound', Friday nights from 6:30-8 in Waterfront Park.
There are festivals and art shows!
Farmer's markets are in full bloom!
We have 11 state parks that have beaches and many more county and city parks to play in, all in Kitsap!

August 2-3 in Port Gamble
You will love this festival! It's about 'building a sustainable future together'; mixing fun and entertainment with learning!
We will be there on Saturday with our world famous cookies.
Bring the whole family out and help us build a fantastic community!
Monica will be on the Buy Local Stage at 1 pm on Saturday for a panel discussion on running a sustainable business.
Also in the SCALLOPS Conversation Cafe on Sunday, from 10-12. I get to introduce a hero of mine: Michelle Long from Sustainable Connections! Then we will have an open conversation about putting together a business consortium that focuses on local and sustainable business!

WE WILL BE CLOSED:
On Friday, August 8th they will be shutting down Old Town for the hydroplane races.
We will close at 5 pm that night, and stay closed through Sunday, August 10th.
We are also closed for Labor Day:
August 30-September 1, back open for normal business on Tuesday, September 2.
We are catering a dinner on Saturday, August 30, so if you have a special order that you want that day we may be able to accommodate you! It never hurts to ask!
