Ky Corn Growers Assn Promotes NASCAR's Move to Use E15 at the National Farm Machinery Show

The Kentucky Corn Growers Association will be at the National Farm Machinery Show, February 16-19, at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center in Louisville showcasing NASCAR's decision to utilize E15 (15% ethanol blend) in all of its 2011 NASCAR series races. A stock car will be at their booth, #8015, located in the West Hall Pavilion. Anyone who visits the booth may sign up to win a set of tickets to the NASCAR races in Kentucky, including the Kentucky 400, at the Kentucky Motor Speedway, July 7-9, 2011.

Laura Knoth, KyCGA executive director, said NASCAR partnered with Growth Energy and the National Corn Growers Association to promote the domestic fuel. The ethanol for the races will be produced at a Sunoco-owned plant in New York and then transported to each race.

"Corn growers have long known about the benefits of corn-based ethanol ," said Knoth. "Now 75 million NASCAR fans will know about American ethanol, too."
