  • Get Great Vacation Photos - AS SEEN ON TV!

Our very own Michael Spikes was featured on FOX 13's Good Morning Memphis recently. He discussed a few tips on taking great pictures whether you are on vacation or just hanging out at the house. To view the segment click on the link below:

Kodak recently announced a digital camera sensor that is 50 megapixels (MP). While the race for the most MP has been raging for years, many consumers have been lost in the dust. The average person who wants to take photos of their kids or have pictures of their vacation would probably not need such a high-resolution camera.

I am often asked how many megapixels is enough? I typically recommend the 8-10 MP range for a majority of consumers. These resolutions produce great prints in the most common sizes. Greater resolution is most useful when you begin producing prints larger than 11x14 inches or you do a good bit of cropping to your images.

That said, 50 MP is huge! Many professional photographers are notorious gearheads. We love new toys and enjoy having the latest and greatest technology. A sensor of that size is capable of producing huge prints with an incredible amount of detail. To learn more, click on the link below:

    Integrated Solutions

    Phil Powis, Account Manager

Mangiante Photography is in the process of integrating a project management software solution to better serve our clients needs, and allow for better communication and collaboration among our staff. We are very excited about the implications for us as we continue to grow. Here are a few ways we hope this change will positively affect our clients and end users:

    1. Scheduling - Project management software will assist with the common challenge of scheduling people to work on tasks and job assignments, while making sure that deadlines are met to deliver a quality product on time to our clients.
    2. Workflow - There will often be a series of tasks that must be completed in a specific order and timeframe to ensure that deadlines are being met and that we are delivering a high-quality product. Project management software will help us visualize this and determine where any problems might exist that could hinder the process.
    3. Providing information - Project management software can help project how long tasks will take to complete based on who is available to complete them and other external factors that may be involved. It will serve to warn us of any potential problems that might delay a project from meeting set deadlines. Over time, it can be used to provide important information regarding performance, time and use of resources. This information will help us continually refine the way we do business, in order to best serve our clients' needs.

These are just a few ways project management software will change the way Mangiante Photography does business. If you would like to know a few suggestions for choosing a product for your business, feel free to email me.
