Explore with me the meanings and visual sensations of Vernon
Peasenell's large-scale sculpture and oil paintings, the "Mixed Media"
show by seven of our member artists and children's expressions of what
scares them most in our 8th annual Children's Open Show.

Exhibitions Receptions: Saturday, Aug 21, 6:30-9pm August 21 - September 18 It's all about time," said Peasenell. "The effects of time, the wasting
of time, the shortness of a lifetime." The "Midflight" exhibit features
60 large-scale sculpture, paintings and prints in the artist's
"Mortality Series," all reflecting Peasenell's impressions of time, the
common thread that runs through all the series produced in the artist's

have an opportunity to find out what young artists find scary in our
world. Artist and award juror Linda Green will announce her selections
for Best of Show and other awards at 7pm during the reception.
Thank You to Timber Creek Artists Fine Arts Club of Sun City for sponsoring our Children's Open Show. August 21 - September 18 "Mixed Media" opens to the public on August 21 with diverse
combinations of media, style and themes by artists Darlene Engellenner,
Nancy Langhorn, Alexandra May, Shirley Perry, Lynda Pike, Maha Salem
and Francine Ures. Visitors are invited
to join the exhibiting artists for demonstrations and an evening
reception, August 21, 6:30-9:00 p.m., during 3rd Saturday Art Walk.
