Mugs for Mutts & Annual Garage Sale Both a Success, Thanks to You!
After a rocking good time at Mickey Finn's Brewery on April 22nd, and a fabulous yard sale on May 1st, we were able to raise over $4000 for our senior pets!
94 people came out and showed their support for Young at Heart on a Thursday night at Mugs for Mutts! Brave Nu Soul started the night out with some great cover songs, and then "V" turned up the volume for our senior pets with some of their original pieces. Best Friends Pet Care, a presenting sponsor for the event, was there raffling off a spectacular dog package, while participants browsed silent auction and raffle items. Microbrew samples were enjoyed by all, with the atmosphere humming with enthusiasm for helping our senior pets! Thanks to all who participated, donated, and spread the word about this event!
Our annual garage sale was a hit as well, with over 20 people waiting in line for the start of the sale! This one day sale was visted by repeat and new customers alike, and we cannot thank everyone enough for their donations to make this happen!

| Cat Center Volunteers Needed!
Everyday, our adoptable kitties depend on our big-hearted volunteers to brush them, play with them, clean their litterboxes, top off their food and water bowls, and keep our little cageless area tidy. We welcome volunteers age 16 years and older at the center, located at Best Friends Pet Care in Prairie View (Buffalo Grove/Lincolnshire). We are looking for volunteers who can commit to one-two hours a week regularly. Best Friends is open 7 days a week, and we can accommodate almost any schedule!
