Bring or buy an item for Nina's Pet Food Pantry and receive 1 free raffle ticket per can of food or 5 free raffle tickets per bag of pet food.
Young at Heart will also have end-of-summer fundraiser items on clearance- get magnets, fleece blankets, etc at great prices! Stock up for Holiday gifts- nothing over $5!!!! |

A Few Good Volunteers Needed!!
Saturday Sept 12th: If you have some time to spare tomorrow (Saturday Sept 12), we need 3-4 volunteers who are willing to drive to pet-related businesses in Palatine, Arlington Heights, Rolling Meadows, & Schaumburg and simply drop off a small stack of our Mutt Mosey flyer/registration sheets. You will need to be able to pick up the fliers at our Bentley's Corner Bakery event tomorrow around noon, and deliver them tomorrow. Each volunteer will need to hit 6-8 pet boutiques, vets, groomers, etc of their choice. Knowledge of the town you'd like to help out with is preferred! If you can help, please email us at volunteer@yahpetrescue.com with your name, phone number, and the town(s) you'd like to help out in! This is an easy way to help us make our Mutt Mosey a success!
Saturday Sept 19th and Saturday Sept 26th:
We are in need of 6-8 additional Mutt Mosey Volunteers. You MUST be able to make an event walk-through on Saturday Sept 19th at 11am-12pm at Twin Lakes in Palatine, and you MUST be able to volunteer from 7:30am- 1pm at Twin Lakes, rain or shine, on the day of the Mutt Mosey. Walking in Honor of Loved Ones
Dawn Kemper, the Executive Director of Young at Heart, is walking with a very special purpose this year - to honor those pets and people who have touched our hearts in some special way.
Whether it is a senior pet you are blessed to spend your days with, a family member or a friend who loves all animals, or someone who you feel would be touched with a donation to Young at Heart on their behalf, Dawn will be walking in their honor. All donations made in honor of a person or pet will be acknowleged on Dawn's Mutt Mosey shirt with the message of your choice.
To make a donation to the Mutt Mosey in honor of a beloved person or pet, simply go to Dawn Kemper's fundraising page, and leave whatever message you would like on Dawn's shirt for the day of the walk.
