The 2012 session of the Vermont Legislature is just weeks away from ending with many bills waiting for action. Lawmakers continue to work on health care reform, reconstruction from the Irene flooding, and addressing holes in the state budget. Link here
for an update on some of the bills VBSR has been working this year.
If you have missed past issues of VBSR's weekly updates you can always find them on the VBSR website. We are always looking for members who want to participate in policy-making, including testifying at the Statehouse or writing letters to lawmakers. If you would like to get involved, please email Dan and tell us what issues matter to you
The Health Insurance Exchange - an on-line marketplace for selling and buying health insurance - has been a hot topic at the Statehouse during the 2012 session. But what do Vermonters - those living outside of the influence of Montpelier's Golden Dome - think of the Exchange? The Department of Vermont Health Access polled 1,004 residents over two weeks at the end of March. Link here
to see some of the poll responses.
