Our Next Club Meeting - June 14 
LampertOur June meeting will be held at the Strongsville branch of the Cuyahoga County Library (18700 Westwood Drive) on Monday, June 14th at 7PM.
 
Our topic will be Schools and the state of Education in Strongsville. Strongsville City Schools Superintendant Jeff Lampert will be our guest speaker. Mr. Lampert will address current school issues and answer questions from the audience.

Activist Training - June 12th
Don't Tread on MeAmerican Majority and the Westshore Tea Party (Westlake, OH) is pleased to announce an Activist Training will be conducted on Saturday, June 12th in Rocky River, Ohio to provide citizens with the tools necessary to become effective activists.
 
The political training will take place at Beachcliff Tavern located at 19245 Detroit Ave in Rocky River from 10am to 3pm.  Registration opens at 9:30am.  The cost is $25 if you pre-register online by 6/11/10 and $30 at the door.  Space is limited.  Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
 
Topics scheduled to be covered during the Training include:
 
  • Grassroots Action (Building Coalitions and Organizing Effectively)
  • Patriot 2.0 (Utilizing New Media and the Internet to Promote Liberty)
  • Precinct Power (Hardwiring Your Precinct for Political Success)
  • Campaign Plan (Building an effective candidacy)

Full training materials, samples and supplements will be provided to help you apply what you learn to your organization, candidate, cause or community.  Lunch will be provided.

Wednesday, July 21, will be the Strongsville Homecoming Days Parade. It will be a great event and fun to participate in!

Strongsville Homecoming Parade - July 21
Please plan to join the Republican Club for the Strongsville Homecoming Parade on Wednesday July 21!

The Strongsville Republican Club will be well represented by our unique Republican elephant float bedecked with banners from our candidates and accompanied by Club members and candidates passing out candy to the children.
 
If you would like to participate in this year's parade, please assemble by 5:30PM on Progress Drive by our float. Look for our inflatable elephant!
 
It's recommended that you come up Alameda drive to access Progress Drive due to road closings and traffic congestion.
 
Don't forget to wear your Strongsville GOP t-shirt or favorite candidate's shirt for the parade and the entire Homecoming weekend!
 
Any Republican candidates are welcome to join the Club in the Parade. Please bring some signs and plenty of candy to pass out. Water will be supplied by the Club.

Hold the Date! Republican Club Pig Roast - August 22!
PigroastThe Strongsville Republican Club Pig Roast will be held Sunday, August 22nd from 1PM to 4PM at the Strongsville Historical Society (13305 Pearl Road just north of the Commons).

Plan to attend and enjoy the food, beverages and the company of your fellow Republicans. Plenty of free parking is available near the Historical Society.

Tickets are available from any Club officer and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are also available at the Remax office next to OfficeMax on Royalton Road.

Ticket information and other information will be avaiable in the near future!
