President Obama Coming to Strongsville March 15th!

President Obama is scheduled to be at the Strongsville Recreation Center (Ernfelt Center) on Monday, March 15th at 1:00 PM. Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis on Sunday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby of the Walter F. Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center. Click here for a map.

But you don't need a ticket to tell the President and world what you think about Obamacare! Come on out and be heard!

It appears that Route 82 from I-71 to Pearl Road and Pearl Road near Royalton Road will have restricted access from 10:00 AM until Noon, and then be closed from Noon until after Obama leaves.

Sources also tell us that the Recreation Center, Senior Center and Library parking lots will be closed. Parking is suggeset at South Park mall and the other shopping centers nearby. Southpark Mall has entrances on Royalton Road and Howe Road.

Let's help us pack Royalton and Pearl Roads with Patriots telling the President what we think of this bill!

Please plan your time of arrival and parking with the advisory in mind. The President's security is much more intense and the inconvenience is something to be endured to ensure his safety. Bear with it and plan appropriately.

Sign Making Tips
  • Choose large pieces of white poster board or foam board.
  • Colored pieces make text harder to read.
  • Make sure the sign is waterproof if it's going to rain!
  • Decide on a slogan. Try to stick to short phrases.
  • Avoid obscure references and the funnier the  better - those will be memorable.
  • Sketch out the slogan in pencil
      - make sure the letters are large enough to read, your text should use the entire space.
  • Slogans should be written in a combination of upper and lower case letters  - all caps are hard to read.  Use them sparingly for emphasis.
  • Using broad-tipped markers, write your slogan in broad letters.
  • Sometimes it helps to write it first and then go over it again to make it thicker.
  • It's okay if it looks homemade.
