A Look at 2011 The Zoe Foundation has helped over 20 families in Georgia and Louisiana alone. Although many requests for assistance have been submitted, because of the generosity of supporters like you, The Zoe Foundation has not had to turn down one family due to lack of funds. We thank you for your support, and if you or someone you know would like to make a charitable donation to help grieving families, please visit www.zoe-foundation.org. Simply click on the First Giving tab in the bottom right hand corner. We recently added the Bristol Sparks Project in Indiana to our family with the help of our Indiana Representative, Katie Sparks. Katie and her husband discovered at their twenty-weeks appointment that their daughter Bristol had passed away in utero. Bristol was delivered the following day. Katie is an amazing woman who has not only volunteered to facilitate her state's chapter of TZF, but she also began her own non-profit organization called Beats for Bristol, which provides Doppler rentals to pregnant women. For more information on Bristol's story and Katie, see our website or hers at www.beatsforbristol.com. Due to the overwhelming increase in activity, not only with other states interested in joining The Zoe Foundation, but the increase in requests for assistance, Kayla discovered she needed to hire a secretary. The Zoe Foundation hired their first employee in September of this year and are expecting many great things with the extra help. We held our first Winter Gala on December 9, 2011. It was an amazing event and everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event and a special thanks goes to Joey at Vic's on the River for everything he did for us that day, from making sure the food was great to helping us with our silent auction. Through our silent auction we raised over $3000, which will allow us to help even more families, including the family we helped just that morning. Another wonderful blessing The Zoe Foundation received is its adoption by Starkey Mortgage and Michael Caputo as his charity of choice in 2012. For the first five Keller Williams referred loans each month, Michael Caputo will donate $100 and his company will donate $150. This will be $1250 a month! Not only will he be helping families financially, but he will be helping us raise awareness. Thank you Michael for everything you will be doing for us in 2012! |
