Honorees John Pagel, Stephen Diercks, Edward Jesse and Krishna Ella

High honors from CALS this year go to dairyman John Pagel (Honorary Recognition Award), potato producer Stephen Diercks BS'70 (Distinguished Alumni Award) and agricultural economist Edward Jesse PhD'70 (Distinguished Service Award). They will be celebrated at a banquet on Thursday, October 13 that also pays tribute to Krishna Ella PhD'93, a CALS alumnus who earlier this year received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the Wisconsin Alumni Association for his work in developing and providing affordable hepatitis vaccines. Red Tie Gala Celebrates WAA's 150th, Supports Student Financial Aid    

WAA 150th Here's your chance to dance to a live band, dine on gourmet heavy hors d'oeuvres, enjoy local beers and wines and "Sesquitini" cocktails, and mingle with classmates and alumni, special guests and Badger celebrities--all while raising up to $150,000 for the Great People Scholarship. The Red Tie Gala will be held at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery on Friday, October 14 from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $150, with half of the proceeds going to Great People.  Celebrate Babcock's 60th Anniversary

It's been 60 years of delicious, all in the name of advancing food science. Come celebrate at Babcock Hall on Friday, October 14, 3-5:30 p.m. with wine and hors d'oeuvres, a welcome from food science department chair Scott Rankin and Center for Dairy Research director John Lucey, and tours and demonstrations of the new Food Applications and Ice Cream Lab.
