Mandus Group Interns Are Gaining Valuable Experience Working on a New Lightweight Howitzer Project
| Scott Tinsman and Chris Lampo
|
Chris Lampo and Scott Tinsman are two engineering students that are spending their summer internships working for Mandus Group on a new line of lightweight howitzers.
Chris Lampo is a senior engineering student at Western Illinois University scheduled to graduate in December. He has been able to combine his internship with his senior project allowing him to complete a graduation requirement while working as a member of a team involved in a real and relevant engineering development program. On the value of his internship Chris had to say, "It's a great chance to put my engineering education to good use while learning things from experienced engineers that can't be taught in a classroom."
Scott Tinsman is going to be a sophomore at Princeton University studying Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Encouraged to pursue internships that pertain to his discipline, he decided to apply to Mandus Group's internship program. He says his experience at Mandus Group has been unique in that he is contributing directly to a project and gets to "build something that has never been built before and that's a really cool and unique opportunity."

The KJ4000LW and KJ4000CV Oil Transfer Systems are Indispensable Components in Maintenance Processes for Artillery
Mandus Group's Oil Transfer Systems have proven to be reliable, innovative and popular tools throughout the world since the product line was introduced over ten years ago. They were developed to replace the M3 oil pump and can be used to fill oil reservoirs, recoil mechanisms, buffers, and replenishers of both 155mm (KJ4000LW) and 105mm (KJ4000CV) howitzers at a fill rate of .59 gpm. Both of these systems are also capable of exercising recoil mechanisms due to their cutting edge design that allows for oil to flow at pressures up to 2500 psi to and from a pressurized system through the same line while passing through a 5-micron filter. If you would like more information on the KJ4000LW and KJ4000CV please contact us at 309-786-1507.
