Gymnasticators and Exercisers Can Provide Substantial Savings in Time and Money When Overhauling and Rebuilding Howitzers
Recoil Gymnasticators and Recoil Component Exercisers are invaluable tools in artillery overhaul, repair, and maintenance processes. Both systems can accurately and inexpensively locate potential malfunctions in a howitzer's recoil system before it's fired, preventing time-consuming and costly breakdowns in the field. This process will reduce costs in range time, ammunition and maintenance manhours. Mandus Group has designed and manufactured three gymnasticators for the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) to assist them in testing and evaluating the overhaul of M109 howitzer recoils, M119 howitzer recoils, and M1 tank mounts. Recoils requiring assessment are installed in the MG3000 series gymnasticator and subjected to numerous simulated firing cycles in a controlled process. This allows technicians to determine the condition of the system and it's components prior to live fire, substantially reducing cost and time in calibration. ANAD has also contracted Mandus Group to design and build a recuperator exerciser to assist in depot repair programs for M119 howitzers. The MG5 exerciser is used to test and exercise a recoil system's recuperator in order to assess its condition prior to its instillation. Mandus Group's experienced artillery engineers can design a system to work with all types of artillery recoils. Contact us with your requirements and we will customize a system for your artillery fleet.

The 52-Caliber Barrel Modification Can Dramatically Increase the Range of The 155mm M198 Howitzer
The M198 howitzer has a reputation of having excellent range. It can fire standard projectiles 22,400 meters and rocket-assisted projectiles can increase that distance to 30,000 meters. If you desire the reliability and low cost of the M198 howitzer but are in need of greater range, the 52-Caliber Barrel Modification is the solution. This quickly installed modification can increase the range of the M198 to an excess of 40,000 meters. The M198 howitzer with the 52-caliber modification will provide you with a battle tested, dependable, and reliable weapon system at a fraction of the cost of other 52-caliber options. Mandus Group specializes in this modification and can easily modify your current M198 fleet or integrate it into our established M198 Inspect and Repair Program. Contact us at 309-786-1507 with any inquiries.
