It's football season and it seems like every team has a long list of injured players - and most of them are still on the field! It's inevitable that we will receive injuries on our journey through life. Some wounds are physical and some are emotional. There are two important lessons we can learn from the "working wounded" football players. First, an injury doesn't have to stop you from doing whatever you want to do. Get up and get back on the field, instead of sitting on the bench waiting until you "lose the weight" or "feel better". Second, give yourself the best possible care. You can bet that injured athletes not only get the very best advice, they use all the latest equipment and they carefully monitor their health and well-being. Taking care of yourself is an essential part of getting back in the game! You know what to do, and it all starts with you making yourself a priority.
