Jump back to early 1960s Baltimore, where pleasantly plump Tracy Turnblad has big hair, an even bigger heart, and a huge dream to be a dancer on the Corny Collins Show. This musical-comedy blockbuster inspired a film and swept the Tony Awards-and audiences off their feet. As The New York Times said, "If life were everything it should be, it would be more like Hairspray. It's irresistible!"
