SHICKSHINNY COMMUNITY VISIONING MEETING TO TAKE PLACEON THURSDAY, DEC. 8
SHICKSHINNY RESIDENTS, NEIGHBORS BUSINESS OWNERS, VISITORS, AND OTHER INTERESTED STAKEHOLDERS ARE INVITED TOATTEND A COMMUNITY MEETING TO DISCUSS REBUILDING AFTER THEDAMAGE CAUSED BY HURRICANE IRENE AND TROPICAL STORM LEE.
BRING YOUR BEST IDEAS FOR REBUILDING. THE MEETING IS HOSTED BY A LONG-TERM COMMUNITY RECOVERY TEAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA AND FEMA.
THE MEETING TAKES PLACE ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8TH AT THE NORTHWEST AREA HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA, 243 THORNE HILL ROAD,SHICKSHINNY, PA. IT BEGINS AT 6:30 P.M.
ALL RESIDENTS, NEIGHBORS, BUSINESS OWNERS, VISITORS, AND OTHER INTERESTED STAKEHOLDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
FEMA's mission is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
It is Important for local residents to attend the meeting! It is your opportunity to share your vision with the committee. The meeting is being facilitated by FEMA!
Do you want a hearing loop in public buildings, parks and playgrounds accessible to kids with disabilities, flashing fire alarms, videophones installed in all public buildings? Now is the time to speak up!
The meeting is on December 8th. Sign language interpreters, assistive listening devices, and CART (Computer Assisted Real-Time Transcription) will be provided.
