Greetings!
This month is all about "Living Green," and we'll be doing a series with Karen Winship, president of Eco Smart Solutions. She will provide our amazing caregivers with information and services that will make life less stressful and more enjoyable - giving more quality of life to everyone involved.
With topics ranging from air/water filtration and green pet products to housecleaning and green remodeling, listeners will learn, grow and feel inspired to "live green." We'll even feature a mobile beauty service that utilizes green products - what a treat! I'm certainly looking forward to getting tips on green, holistic living from Karen, and I hope you are, too. Please don't forget to tune into The Caregiver Hour radio show on Mondays from 11am to 12pm. Listen live, and phone in your questions to 877-897-8255.
Live well,

Living Green 3 easy steps to living more naturally
Living green is merely an aspiration for many, including caregivers, because they are intimidated by the expected changes to their lives and their wallets. But making more holistic choices on a daily basis - no matter how small - does not have to be painful or expensive. In fact, it can leave you feeling healthier and more inspired than ever. Here are a few ways to get started:
Buy organic. Organic food has fewer pesticides and other chemicals, making it healthier for you and the environment. If the higher prices are a little tough to swallow, just start with the "dirty dozen" - the 12 most contaminated fruits & veggies according to the Environmental Working Group. - Pinch Pennies. But don't just do it because you have to; do it because you want to. Before purchasing things, take just a moment to consider whether you really need, or even want, the item in question. Cutting back on unecessary "stuff" will help the environment while also keeping your home (and mind) clutter free.
- Recycle & Reuse. You don't have to compete for being crowned the neighborhood "Recycle Queen of the Year" - just do your part, and you'll still be making a huge difference over time. If you can't recycle it, consider whether you can reuse it. Using repurposed containers and bags is the new black. Join the trend!

About Senior Holistic Living
Senior Holistic Living is a comforting resource for caregivers who are seeking guidance, encouragement, and more balance in their life. We are a reminder that caregiving does not have to be a mindless duty - that it can, in fact, be a mindful opportunity for the caregiver's own growth.
If you need advice or have unanswered questions, our recommended resources will be both helpful and reassuring. If you yearn to feel more connected to your feelings and thoughts but are not quite sure how to make it happen, allow us to lend a hand. And if you simply seek respite during a time of crisis, we can help you find peace. We'll show you how to create balance and minimize stress so that you can make better and more conscious decisions.
