When Chef Deborah Gorman prepared a dinner for us at a friend's house, we felt that it would be fun to invite her to guest chef at an Alias Monday Pop-up dinner.
When we then discovered that Deborah had honed her skills at none other than Blue Hill at Stone Barns, A Voce, Grayz and Animal on the West Coast, we were even keener to have her chef for you.
Then, when we watched her new show "the Golden Skillet" - we knew that she would fit right in - the show is all about cooking with grannies and discovering the great secret recipes that they are passing on from one generation to another. Check it out here.
Hence Deborah's theme for this evening pop-up - Heirloom Dishes - inspired by the grandmothers of the Golden Skillet. See her menu and letter to friends and fans below.
