This Monday Janaury 24th we're delighted to welcome Marcellus Coleman to Alias Restaurant.
Tiger, as he likes to be called, has just finished a busy stint at Aureole as Executive Sous Chef having honed his skills at none other than 11 Madison and our neighbor WD50, to name but a few.
Tiger names Ken Oringer at Clio in Boston as his biggest influence. So it's not surprising that his motto and passion is flavor & technique - and his menu (see below) reflects exactly that!
We open at 7pm so that you can kick off with a cocktail. Dinner will be served at 7:30pm. Be sure to make a reservation by calling (212) 505 5011.
As always please feel free to forward this email to any friends who you think might be interested in these events and encourage them to join our mailing list. Look forward to seeing you soon! The Alias Crew PS: Please note there is NO ZIPCARD DISCOUNT on this event. |
Tiger's Letter
Dear Friends, Last year I had the pleasure of attending one of the "Monday Dinner parties at Alias". I left inspired and determined to arrange my own Monday event at the restaurant.
That's now a reality and I'm delighted to say that I'll be there on Monday 24th January.
I can't wait for this opportunity to showcase my food and my passion for cooking, technique and flavor. The challenge is to do all this for a prix fixe menu of $40 a head!
WD50 is just up the road from Alias so I'm no stranger to the neighborhood. It's going to be great to re-explore and you can see that my menu is inspired by the area's unrivalled variety of food markets and stores.
My proposed menu is below. I'd be delighted if you could come and join us for this evening of delicious flavors. These Monday Night Dinner Parties have quite a following already so be sure to make your reservations early on 212 505 5011 to avoid disappointment. Look forward to seeing you!
Marcellus 'Tiger' Coleman
PS. Be sure to join the Monday Nights @ Alias mailing list to be kept informed of upcoming dinner parties
