Who better to kick off the first in this year's series of Monday Night Dinner Parties than friend and chef Mark Barrett

At his last dinner party at Alias Restaurant in August, Babbo alumni Mark treated us to a market inspired Italian summer bonanza. 

This Monday January 17th, Mark sticks to his latin roots as he proves to us that Italian winter fare can be just as tantalizingly delicious! - See his seasonally inspired menu below and his letter to fans and friends.

We open at 7pm so that you can kick off with a cocktail.  Dinner will be served at 7:30pm. Be sure to make a reservation by calling (212) 505 5011.

Hello Friends and Eaters,
 
First of all a very happy new year to you all!

 

Secondly - Guess what? - I'm coming back to cook another Monday dinner party at Alias Restaurant!

 

Thirdly - this time I'm thinking hand-made ravioli and Italian winter seasonal inspiration.

 
The challenge as always is to produce a Mark Barrett inspired menu in a dinner party (one seating) environment - all for $40!
 
Take a look at my proposed menu below.
 
I'm really excited to be working with my friends at Alias again and would be delighted if you could come and join us for this evening of drinks and tasty
treats.
 
These Monday Night Dinner Parties have quite a following already so be sure to make your reservations early on 212 505 5011 to avoid disappointment.

Handmade Spinach and Sweet Leek Ravioli
 Chestnuts, cranberries, citrus butter, parsley

Grilled Pork Tenderloin
Celery root puree,  roasted brussels sprouts and local squashes, radicchio, fried baby yukon gold potaotes,  balsamic jus.

 Banana and Dark Chocolate Bread Pudding
Caramel sauce - choice of cinnamon or hazelnut gelato.
