We just wanted to share with you the details of our next Monday Dinner Party at Alias,
This Monday August 16th, we're delighted to welcome back Chef and friend Mark Barrett.
Mark is no stranger to our kitchen, having spent a year at Alias before moving on to Henry's Restaurant on the Upper West Side.
As a sous-chef at Mario Batali's Babbo restaurant and during his 2 years cooking in Northern Italy, Mark developed a passion for fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. Back in New York he became a regular at the Farmers' markets. It is there that he went to find inspiration for this menu.
His proposed menu and his letter to friends and fans follows below.
As usual, we'll open at 7pm so that you can kick off with a cocktail (we'll be featuring Mark's own market-inspired creation for $8 - tasty!). Dinner will be served at 7:30pm.
