I just wanted to share with you the details for the next in our Monday Dinner Party series at Alias,
 
This Monday  August 9th,  we're delighted to welcome back Chef and friend Marja Samsom (A.K.A. the Dumpling Diva) of Kitchenclub fame, who will be infiltrating our kitchen once again to delight us with the second of her Dumpling and Kitchenclub-inspired feasts.  This time she'll be featuring her famous Japanese Bento Box!
 
The proposed menu for this Monday (which remains a $40 prix fixe) and Marja's letter to her friends and fans follows below.
 
As usual, we'll open at 7pm so that you can kick off with a cocktail (we'll be featuring Marja's own creation, the Chibitini for $8 - delicious!).  Dinner will be served at 7:30pm.
 
There's only one sitting and space is limited so be sure to make a reservation by calling              (212) 505 5011.
  
We have an exciting line up of chefs going into the fall and you can now keep up to date with our Monday Night Dinner parties on our website.

Dear Friends

First of all, a big thank you to all of you who were able to make it to my first Monday dinner party at Alias restaurant - it really was great to see so many familiar faces.

The evening, I think we all agree, was a blast - the Miso Marinated Black Cod rocked and brought back many fond Kitchenclub memories!

For those of you who couldn't make it, have no fear, because I'm invading the kitchen again on Monday 9th August.  And, of course, I'm planning another Miso Black Cod dinner in the fall.

Next Monday, I'll be cooking up a storm with another Kitchenclub classic, the Bento Box, and, of course, some Dumpling Diva magic! - see prospective menu below.

Be sure to reserve early though - I have a funny feeling that you're going to be facing some fierce competition from those who've already become converts to my Monday Dinner Parties at Alias!
