Dear Friends,

Happy Norouz - "New Day"

The beginning of spring and the season for growth, rebirth and renewal

We at MAP welcome the beginning of spring by remembering the children living in poverty and less fortunate than us.  MAP's Second Annual Norouz Fundraising event In Northern Virginia was a great success thanks to all our wonderful guests, volunteers, sponsors and supporters. Your generosity will help provide food, shelter, health care and education to hundreds of children.

In a time that the world is going through turmoil and devastation, it takes commitment and passion to keep hope alive. Thank you for being the light of hope for the children. We are grateful to your continued participation and support of MAP and wish you a year filled with many blessings.

On behalf of the children thank you,

MAP Board Members

MAP in Iran

In Novemer 2010 MAP has been granted a permit from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to officially begin working with orphanages in Iran.

In 2011 we are excited to begin our work in Iran, starting with the following two projects:

FarkhondehFarkhondeh

Farkhondeh is a 24-hour care center for mental and motor disabled children. MAP will provide rehabilitation care for these children.  By assisting in their physical and emotional development, MAP will help them lead a more independent, positive and enjoyable life.

In January of 2011, MAP Board Members first hand experienced the devastating poverty in Cambodia by visiting the slums, dumpsites and countryside of Cambodia. Dring our trip MAP visited the Motomedix health clinics which are located in the slums and serve the children and their families with their medical needs. In Feburary 2011 MAP has funded purchase of new equipment such as ultra sound machines for these clinics inorder to provide beeter medical service to the community.

In addition MAP visited Aziza Place School and Home which houses children whom were saved from the street. These children now receive the support and education they need in a loving atmosphere. This visit not only ensured the progress of our projects but also fostered new future projects.

MAP is commited to opening a new orhanage in Cambodia. To Learn More Click Here.
