Dear Supporters and Friends,

I want to ask you to support the important work of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF). We are grateful for you Thanks and Giving, and hope you will consider NCSF by making a contribution this year.

Since 1997, NCSF has been fighting to advance and protect your sexual freedom rights. The following are just some of the important projects that are made possible by donations from you and our other supporters:

·  Consent Counts - The nationwide project to decriminalize consensual BDSM. NCSF created a nationwide projected to decriminalization consentual BDSM and educate our own communities about consent.

·  DSM Revision Project - NCSF is working to change the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual that stigmatizes BDSM practitioners, fetishists and cross-dressers as mentally ill.

·  Media Updates - NCSF publishes the only comprehensive coverage of alternative sexuality issues and serves as a national spokesperson to improve media coverage of these issues. NCSF did more than 25 national interviews in 2009 and in additional to the numerous local and regional media responses NCSF provided. NCSF also participates annually in the Sex Positive Journalism Awards.

·  Incident Response -NCSF is the only organization that consistently responds to requests for assistance related to the criminal charges, child custody, divorce and job discrimination issues that routinely face those who practice alternative sexuality. NCSF dealt with 482 incidents in 2009, 166 of which were criminal.

· Educational Programs and Resources - NCSF offers for our communities, the media, mental health and medical professionals, lawyers, law enforcement and universities, a full range of educational workshops and other resources, including our new manual for mental health professionals, "What Psychology Professionals Should Know about Polyamory" and our Kink Aware Professionals list.

· Changing Laws and Policies - NCSF has led numerous successful efforts to change laws and policies affecting BDSM/swing/poly events, businesses and organizations.

· Legal Challenges on Sexual Freedom Issues - NCSF has led and participated in significant legal challenges, including amicus briefs in several U.S. Supreme Court cases.

Our only limitation to providing more and better services to you is NCSF resources. Frankly, we need to raise more money to offer the level of services our communities need to achieve our goals. NCSF does all this without large grants from foundations, corporations or government. We are dependent on the support of people like you, who believe in our causes and are affected by the laws, practices and policies that we fight against.

We hope you'll consider making a donation this year. Donations to the NCSF Foundation, which fund much of our important work, are tax deductible per IRS regulations. We have made a lot of progress over the years, but we still have a long way to go.  Please help us realize our mission; any level of contribution is appreciated.  As holiday season comes, please remember your "Thanks and Giving" to NCSF.
