 Chirstmas Rose

The winter blooms of the Christmas Rose provides remarkable interest in the garden. The blossoms, emerging between January and April, can range in color from purple, pink, and white pending on the variety. Growing between 12 and 24 inches high, this deer resistant evergreen perennial likes to be planted in part to full shade. Helleborus orientalis is best grown in organically rich, humusy, well-drained soils.
