Gourmet Sea Salts
I have been using sea salt for many years now.  I find the flavor is sweeter than regular table salt.  The very first sea salt I discovered was called "Real Salt" extracted from Utah.  It has many natural trace minerals plus naturally occuring iodine. Since discovering the Real Salt however, I realize how many different kinds of sea salts are out there now.  Sea salts have become popular and finding the right one is easy to do!  Just keep trying different ones until you find the one you like.  There's no right or wrong answer, just follow your taste buds!

 Dining Etiquette

I think we all remember the scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts is trying to figure out what all the differnt utensils were used for and the famous "escargot" flying through the air!

Rather than get that fancy, here are some basic easy tips to live by:

  1. Keep elbows off the table. Keep your left hand in your lap unless you are using it.
  2. Do not talk with your mouth full. Chew with your mouth closed.
  3. Taste your food before seasoning it.
  4. Do not use a toothpick or apply makeup at the table.
  5. Do not push your dishes away from you or stack them for the waiter when you are finished. (I have a bad habit and I can't help myself from doing this!)
  6. When your done, rest your fork, tines up, and knife blade in, with the handles resting at five o'clock an tips pointing to ten o'clock on your plate.

Treat yourself or your sweetie with the greatest gift for Valentines Day!

Now is the perfect time to hire The Dinner Goddess!

It's the gift that keeps on giving all week long!

Sincerely,

Grilled Ciabatta Bread

What you need:
Loaf of Ciabatta
Olive Oil
Sea Salt
Grill
Slice ciabatta bread in half so that the air pockets inside are facing up.  Drizzle it with olive oil on one side and sprinkle with sea salt.  Turn on grill , get nice and hot and lay the ciabatta directly on the fire.  Watch carefully, it will burn!  You want the ciabatta to blacken slightly.  When it's nice and toasted it's done.  Serve with your favorite dishes or top with your favorite toppings.  Make a mini pizza, bruschetta, caponata or whatever!
