On Monday, February 22, at 7:30 pm, nationally acclaimed comedian Aaron Wilburn, will share his special brand of southern humor at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students. They can be purchased at Tweedy's Music or by calling the Performing Arts Center at 317-5508.
Wilburn brings the house down with laughter....and he does it without four-letter words or making his audience feel uncomfortable. As a regular feature on the Gaither Homecoming tour and videos, he has endeared himself to thousands of fans with his down-home brand of humor.
His comedy comes straight from his life - his southern roots, family, children and faith.
No one would expect the same person that brings people to tears with laughter also has written songs that have touched the lives of so many. His gift of songwriting has brought with it Dove Awards as well as Grammy nominations. His hilarious song, "If My Nose Was Runnin' Money, I'd Blow It All On You" continues to be a hit on websites across the country. In 2006, Wilburn was honored by his home state in the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. There is an exhibit of his life and music displayed in its honored halls - in the company of such notables as Tammy Wynette, Lionel Richie , and Percy Sledge.
Whether he is on stage in an area surrounded by 15,000 or in a banquet setting for a corporation or church...Aaron Wilburn is at home. This is a show for the entire family. As Wilburn says, "There is no generation gap with laughter!" If you tell him, "I loved your act, 'he will probably tell you "that's not act - that's who I am!"
