National Marina Day is June 11th

Since the first event in February 2001, National Marina Day has continued to grow and evolve into a day of celebrating marinas and the role they play in our communities and in our country's recreation.

Join the fun at Surfside Marina and help us celebrate!!!

We have planned events throughout the day including: kids fishing tournament, games, hotdogs, music and much more!!!! Come out and watch a weigh-in for one our fishing tournaments. The Auxiliary Coast Guard will be doing "Free Boat Safety Inspections" and we are working on having the Coast Guard join in.

If there were ever any worries about the health of the Gulf Coast fishery, the gang over in Orange Beach just put those doubts to rest in a big way.

Marlin

The Mobile Big Game Fishing Club's annual Memorial Day Billfish Tournament kicked off the season Saturday night as First Choice brought a 689 pound Blue Marlin to the docks.

But that didn't last long! Once the scales opened Sunday afternoon, Lit Up was there to hoist a 706 pound monster to take the lead. Amazing!

With 93 boats we expected a pretty lively weigh in. Take a look at what an awesome bounty the Gulf of Mexico can offer those of lucky enough to live along her shores.
