Update on 2012/2013
We would like to share with you some updates on staffing for the 2012/2013 school year: Sophie Reinhardt will return to Europe, Audrey Massart plans to pursue her love of photography full time, and Rachida Saidj leaves in search of a full-time teaching opportunity. They will be missed by staff and students alike. Thank you for your contributions to our school over the years! Merci beaucoup!

After three years as Education Coordinator, Genevieve Vincent has decided return to full-time teaching and offering her experience as a teacher trainer at FASRI in the fall. We thank her for her time and contributions as part of the management team and look forward to her work in-class in September.

FASRI is currently recruiting an Education Director. An ideal candidate will be fully bilingual, properly qualified and experienced, and have knowledge of both French and American K-8 programs. Excellent communication and organization If you know someone who would be qualified for this position, please have them send a CV and references to headofschool@fasri.org.

Please stay tuned for more developments on this front as we approach the summer.
Elementary School Open Drop-Off Days
Last year, we discussed with you the possibility of opening up the elementary classrooms at morning drop-off, in order to give students a chance to show their parents what they are working on. We are happy to announce that this will be instituted after April break on the following days:

Cycle 2 (Grades 1 & 2): Tuesdays, 8:15-8:30
May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Cycle 3 (Grades 3-5): Fridays, 8:15-8:30
April 27; May 4, 11, 18, 25

We hope you'll have the opportunity to take advantage of this time and see the great things happening in your child's classroom. Please remember to park your car off of John Street if you will be coming inside for a visit. Merci.
Grandparents' Day Volunteers Needed
Grandparents' Day is just around the corner: Friday, April 27. A few parent volunteers are needed to help the day run smoothly. If you are interested, please contact Raissa Mensah at rmensah@fasri.org.
