Discovery Week Next Week
| |
Next week is the third annual "Discovery Week" for FASRI students from Petite Section to 8th Grade. This year's theme is "Learning About History." During the week, students will have the opportunity to learn or develop skills in art, technology, and theatre in a new environment and with a new teacher while working on a project based on the week's theme.
Depending on their age range, students will explore one of various periods and topics, including: History of Jazz, History of Architecture, The Middle Ages/Medieval Times, Fashion Through The Ages, Olympic Games, Paris 1920-1940, History of Cinema, Greek or Roman Mythology, Prehistoric Times, and the French Revolution.
Every morning, students will split into their designated groups for their Discovery Week workshops: Maternelle workshops will be from 9 AM - 10 AM, and Grades 1-8 will meet from 8:45 AM - 10:15 AM.
By the end of the week, every group will have created a final product, whether it is a video, posters, or crafts. These projects will be presented to FASRI families at an exhibit in mid-March.
We are looking forward to this special week.
Genevieve Vincent
Education Coordinator.
