| | AFTERNOON PICK-UP
A few tips for smooth and safe pick-up:
The start of the school is always a little hectic. Please make sure your sitters are aware of the school's pick up policy, bear with us, follow the school guidelines to the letter and be patient. It does improve.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation on this matter of school safety.
For Parents:
- Pre-elementary students (Pre-school to Kindergarten) exit at 2:50 pm. Please line up in front of the building going up John Street. As you may have noticed, John is a one-way Street during drop off and pick up time, a courtesy of the Providence Police Department for safety purposes.
- Parents of children Grades 1 and up: please do not enter the line before 3:00 pm. You child will not be released until then and you are holding everyone up, forcing cars to circle hazardously around you to get out.
- Everyone must stay in the line and wait for the line to move forward. There is no passing.
- You/your sitter need to buckle the kid into the car seat: please make it fast and teach your child to get settled quickly, as people behind you are waiting.
- Thank you to the people who continue to display their child's name on the windshield. It is helpful.

Registration Forms
| Attending school at FASRI is contingent upon our Main Office receiving your child's health and other registration forms. If you still have not completed them, please do so by this Friday.

Back-to-School Night Tomorrow

Back-to-School Night is this coming Thursday, September 8 from 6:30 - 8:15 PM. It is a time for parents to come and learn more about FASRI and meet your child's teachers. The evening's schedule is as follows:
- 6:30-7:15 "School Fair" in the auditorium - There will be wine and cheese and a chance to visit different tables to learn more information about parts of the School (Parents' Association, School Forum, Lunch Program, La Garderie/Clubs/Language Classes, Admissions/Development)
- 7:00-7:15 Introduction & Presentation of the 2011/12 School Year
- 7:15 - 8:15 Classroom visits

Latin at FASRI
| Due to low enrollment, the scheduled Latin elective for seventh- and eighth-graders has been cancelled.
Latin will now be offered as part of the Language Center for students in Grades 6-8. If you are interested, please contact Sebastien Durand at sdurand@fasri.org. Merci.

Come to the FASRI Picnic!

Our annual picnic is this Saturday, September 10, from 12-4 PM at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. We have attached directions for you to this e-mail in case you still need them.
To make sure we have a nice variety of food & drink, here is a list of what to bring to share, by grade. All paper products will be provided by the PA. We expect 80-100 people, but if everyone brings a good-sized portion everyone will have enough food!
- Petite & Moyenne Sections (Pre-School & Pre-K): Main dish
- Grande Section (Kindergarten): Drinks -large bottles of water, lemonade, fruit juice or soda - please no juice boxes or individual cans
- Grades 1 & 2: Salads (green, pasta, potato, etc.) or main dish
- Grade 3: Drinks
- Grade 4 & 5: Dessert
- Middle School: Appetizers

- APERO LESSON on September 28th at 5:30pm for all adult students. This is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow classmates and teachers around a drink and assess your level to help you choose the most appropriate class.
