New York City
I went to New York City for a workshop and because I really wanted to experience what NYC was like. I had never been there to stay before and thought it sounded like fun.
I saw a play, Wicked. Now, I know the real story behind the Wizard of Oz. :) It was very well done, well-written and funny. I spend lots of time in taxis, learned it makes more sense to get out and walk if it's 5:00 traffic. I saw the Twin Towers Memorial-it's beautiful. The Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. Went through more security checks than I've had to in 5 yrs. Saw the Meatpacking District where the nightclubs are and checked a few out. Did a lot of walking and standing. My feet are feeling good again. Here are my pictures that I posted on fb: NYC Pics. You can view them even if we are not connected on facebook, but I'd love to connect with you there, if you like.
I love that I went to New York and experienced it! It was very interesting and I met some great friends at the workshop. And, saw the Statue of Liberty, even though she is closed for renovations. But, I am so glad I don't live there. I love the ease of having a car, not much traffic, parking close to my door and, having quiet. I would have to arrange a lot of quiet time if I lived there. :) |
