For over a decade, Eagles has garnered public and critical attention for his unique, signature use of blood. Through his experimental, self-invented process, the artist applies blood, procured from slaughterhouses, to plexiglass and permanently preserves the organic material, suspending the fluid forms.

In JORDAN EAGLES - BLOOD WORK, the artist presents a new series based on the various elemental qualities of blood as well as minimal works employing blood-soaked gauze stretched over white and black acrylic boxes, blood/copper mixtures, and overhead projectors for a site-specific, interactive blood-light installation. The works in this exhibition are designed to maintain the blood's natural colors, textures, luminosity and to expose its finite details. In the presence of light, the works vibrate iridescent reds, crimsons, oranges, browns, and black and cast shadows, projecting an intense glow onto walls. JORDAN EAGLES - BLOOD WORK provides a compelling multi-sensory experience that engages an allegory of death to life and themes of regeneration and the intangible connections between body, spirit, and nature.
