Hi Everyone! Here I am again this month.
I want to tell you about a very special event that took place on Maui on February 11, 2012. It was a Valentine Benefit for my training organization HCI - Hawaii Canines For Independence. Casey always donates a beautiful giclee framed fine art print for the silent auction. She likes to help raise money for HCI to continue placing dog teams. This year she donated a print called 'Happy Little Swallow'.
Here it is!
Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay" from French) is a process of making fine art prints from a digital source usung ink-jet printing. The name was originally applied to fine art prints created on Iris printers in a process invented in the early 1990s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such prints. Beside its association with Iris prints, in the past few years, the word "giclée," as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant "archival" inks. I'll bet you did not know I was so smart, huh?

Below is a great video from the Valentine Benefit event.
The video shows highlights from the benefit and a mom talking about my friend, Tucker, who helped save her daughters life. Tucker is a therapy dog and works in a hospital on the island of Ohau. Tucker is a star!
