Greetings!

One month ago our largest project in Kenya (Shelter Children Rehabilitation Center) faced the immanent possibility of eviction...can you imagine: 200 children and staff suddenly put off the beautiful, peaceful 20 acre property they've rented for over a decade? Thanks to an outpouring of your compassionate donations, the children have been rescued, eviction avoided, the land purchased, and a joyous celebration has occurred. Thank you all. And special thanks as well to the many new FRIENDS OF DTW we've acquired on Facebook; along with the dozens of new child sponsors God has provided. Indeed, we can join the Psalmist (106:1) as we "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."

May God Bless You Greatly,

Doug Millham

Care4Kids & Baby Reception Center

Meet part of the Discover the World family!

We have a partner in Eldoret, Kenya since 2010, which provides a home for vulnerable children through two entities in one location, Care4Kids International (C4KI) and Heritage Baby Reception Center (HBRC). The reason for two separate names is that they have two different focuses for the needs in the area. One for abandoned children and then a rescue baby reception center.

C4KI was founded in 2002 and the HBRC in 2010. The family consists of Pastor Patrick Chege and his wife Ruth and their own two remaining children. Tragically two children of the Chege family have passed away. Then there is the extended Family of Children, who through no fault of their own were considered "throw-a way's". Each of their stories is heart breaking.

There are a variety of ages, backgrounds and needs, but with one common denominator - they all need to be loved.

Click here to view some photos from our last gathering at New Moon just this last weekend on 9/29! Saturday night we had a great turnout of young adults eager to learn more about what DTW is doing in Kenya. We were excited to see so many new faces since our last event and are looking forward to the next gahtering on November 2nd. We are humbled to see how the Lord continues to grow the passion and excitement for DTW in this age group.
