Greetings!

Ask, Seek, Knock........

Over 9 years ago, DTW opened our first "children's sanctuary" for 24 little orphan girls in the slums of Nairobi. These "girls" are flourishing, Godly young women. From there five other projects have emerged that serve nearly 400 additional boys and girls.

Encouraged by God's blessings, Discover the World is going to continue to walk in faith and raise the bar over the next 3 years to expand opportunities to even more children and young adults who live in the most difficult of circumstances; poverty, abuse, abandonment, and lack of opportunity. Our goal is to provide for hundreds, if not thousands, of vulnerable children. To guide us on the journey, we are adopting as a theme:

Matthew 7:7

"Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you."

This is not only a promise to the children of Kenya, but to each of us who are ALSO God's children to have confidence in God's provision and love. It is a great honor to join hearts and hands! We have come to know you, trust you, and to love you in Christ...we hope you feel the same about us. Please join us in prayer as we ask God to shower the children of
Africa with many blessings!

Yours in Christ,
Doug

Kimplwas was founded in 2003, on the premise to fight stigma and discrimination in the community for people living with HIV/AIDS in Eldoret, Kenya. The founders Obadiah and Margaret Karuru both live with HIV, but looked beyond their struggles and united an entire community.
