Greetings!
With this edition of our newsletter, Discover the World is grateful to introduce to each of you
- a new look, and
- a new logo
for our work among orphans and vulnerable children in Africa.
We are so grateful for the privilege of serving children who come from difficult situations, and would like for you to know the history, meaning, and sense of God's guidance which has lead to this moment.

In the beginning
Discover the World is more than the name of an organization, it is an invitation to you and to me to follow God into the world he loves so much. More than twenty years ago we believe that God put a message on our hearts and challenged us to encourage and equip people to serve the poor. Since that time we have been blessed and honored to mobilize thousands of people to have life changing experiences in many destinations, serving the lost and the lowly with God's love. More recently we believe we have been challenged to focus our efforts more directly upon providing hope to the most vulnerable communities and children. To that end we now move forward, in faith, guided by God's word, and with great joy and expectation we now reintroduce the heart of Discover the World: |

Inspiring

In Africa's Children

Into the Future with Confidence
Now twenty years later, here we are filled again with an even deeper dedication to providing hope to children in the world around us. My desire is for all who see the words Discover the World to recieve it as an invitation from the maker of heaven and earth to find out what God is doing in the world and come join to be a part of it!
We welcome you to the next chapter of your life, and hope you will join us in serving God among the poor. We need your help, solicit your prayers, and welcome your participation.
May the Lord use us greatly in the challenging days ahead, to bring His peace, joy, love, mercy, and hope to a world that needs to so very much... |
