Adopt A Waiting Child!

WC Generic

Help!  We have too many waiting children to feature just one.  During National Adoption Month we would like all families to review the waiting children on our website and consider adopting one or pass the information along to a family who might adopt.

You may view our waiting children by visiting our website.  If you are interested in adopting or have
questions about waiting children, contact Angela Jackson, our waiting child coordinator.  She will be able to guide you through the different programs and application.

Celebrate Adoption!

National Adoption Month is very important to adoption as well as your family.  It is the perfect time to celebrate within your family as well as share your story with others.  We urge you to pick an activity from each category to celebrate adoption.

Celebrate Adoption

  • Share your adoption story with a community or religious group
  • Share your story with a family interested in adopting
  • Attend a local adoption celebration
  • Join the adoption community and mentor another family, or become an advocate for adoption
  • Contact your local newspaper and share your story and the importance of adoption to children and families.
  • Send your story, testimonial, or video to CAS to help spread the word about the joys of adoption (Send to your PC or Siri)

Celebrate Your Family

  • Read your child's lifebook
  • Create a lifebook or add to the story
  • Read adoption stories and poems
  • Celebrate an adoption moment each day or week of the month (traveling, meeting each other, coming home, etc.)
  • Create a fun video about your family and adoption

Celebrate Culture

  • Research your child's culture
  • Find celebrations, traditions, foods, crafts or other things to incorporate into your family's day to day life
  • Begin an account to save money to return to your child's home country one day
  • Find a local cultural group to join or begin one with the help of CAS

Remember & Support the Children

  • Each week think of a way you could help the children without families and act on the idea
  • Spread the word in your community about the need of the children without families
  • Encourage a friend, family, community organization, or co-worker to adopt or support adoption
  • Donate to help another family adopt or supply children in need with essentials
  • Remember the children each day this month and honor them during the holidays

Thank you for helping celebrate adoption.  Each action you take will help spread the word and find a family for a child.  Happy National Adoption Month.

Not Everyone Can Adopt.  But, Each One of Us Can Make Adoption Possible!

We look forward to being a part of your adoption journey!
