Ava Will Brighten Your Life!

| |
"Ava", a sweet 4 1/2 year old little girl waits for her special forever family. She is delayed physically and missing mobility in her joints. She is also developmentally delayed. She makes excellent eye contact, speaks some words, eats well, crawls, can stand on her knees, walks with a walker, catches toys and understands everything. She is a leader in her group and is described as bright, sweet, a big fighter, and has strong potential.
Pictures and a medical are available to families who are interested in adopting this little girl. Two trips are anticipated to complete the adoption.
If you are interested in this little girl, please contact Angela Jackson, our waiting child coordinator. We encourage families who have their homestudy complete to inquire, but if you do not, we ask that you are ready to work quickly to complete everything.
CAS has several waiting children. See more on the Waiting Children page. For questions about waiting children, contact Angela Jackson, our waiting child coordinator. She will be able to guide you through the different programs and application. |

ADOPTION NEWS
Russia: BIG NEWS! The bilateral adoptions agreement was signed this week by Secretary Clinton and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov. The agreement includes provisions designed to enhance the prospective adoptive parents'(PAPs') preparation to adopt, to ensure that PAPs' receive more complete information about adoptive children's social and medical histories, and anticipated needs, and to improve post-adoption reporting and monitoring.
China Special Needs: Adoptions through this program are gaining momentum! We are having an information get together of home families, our facilitator Sabrina, and Carol, program coordinator on August 5 in Greensboro! If you are interested in this program and would like to ask a few questions and meet families this would be a great opportunity. Contact Carol for more information. |

Humanitarian Update
Bulgaria: Earlier this summer Carolina Adoption Services was pleased to provide a donation to the Yambol Baby Orphanage in Yambol, Bulgaria. This donation was used to help make much needed repairs to the kitchen. The walls and ceiling were scraped, treated for mold, and freshly painted. While the orphanages in Bulgaria do receive support from the government, it is only enough to cover the everyday necessities such as food, diapers, medicine, and education.

After:

As a children's charity, Carolina Adoption Services is dedicated to improving the quality of life for orphans and vulnerable children worldwide. While these repairs may seem minor, if the mold had continued to spread the orphanage would have been in much worse condition. Without the support of our generous donors, like you, these projects would not be possible. There are countless orphanages across the the world that need our help.
Moldova: Sponsored students and graduates gathered together for the quarterly Moldova Sponsorship Program pizza party! At this gathering the graduates shared their ups and downs since graduation and the program. They discussed applying for jobs, gaining employment, and their successes.

Angela Arhip, program facilitator, shares about this meeting in her most recent newsletter which can be read here. She also asks for families with a heart to encourage to become a part of this wonderful program. To find out more visit our website or contact Angela.
