This lovable little boy is 3 years old and he was born prematurely. He is diagnosed with hearing loss in both ears and he is experiencing developmental delays. He has a hearing aid but can hear some without it. He is speaking, walking, and yearning to learn more! He is ready to be part of a forever family that will help him reach his full potential!
Pictures and a medical are all available to families who are interested in adopting this little boy. You may also request a new medical if you are ready to adopt him. Two short trips are anticipated to complete the adoption.

| Greetings!
Three families came home in March, congratulations! More families are needed to be matched with children and begin their happily ever after. We specifically need families in our China Waiting Child program and our Russia program. Both of these programs are moving, families are completing their adoptions in around 1 year, and have children available.
We encourage you to contact us today about your adoption dreams, or concerns. Our staff would be happy to help you and provide information. Home families are also very excited to talk to families who are beginning, they have been there and are a great resource. You do not have to do this alone there are many supports for you, just ask us.
By keeping our programs small, we offer you personalized care and service above and beyond what most agencies offer. You can count on CAS being there for you throughout your adoption journey.

A Message From Julie Glandt, CAS' new Executive Director
Dear Families and Friends,
Carolina Adoption Services is a truly wonderful agency with a history of great service to families, experienced and compassionate staff, and an inspiring mission of helping children. Over the last decade I have had the pleasure of working with amazing families who have opened their hearts and homes to children. I have worked alongside our partners in foreign countries as they helped adoptive families and completed humanitarian aid projects. I have come to know and trust our partner agencies and donors who believe in the mission of CAS and help to support our future. As an adoptive parent, I am inspired and passionate about adoption and this experience continually strengthens my commitment to children and families who will also share this journey.
International adoption is ever evolving and I know the future will bring more changes. CAS is ready and committed to building families through adoption and for those children who will not be adopted, CAS will be there to offer support. For families just beginning your adoption journey, I share in your excitement. With more and more available to families wanting to adopt, you could not have chosen a better time.
We look forward to the day you bring your child or children home.
Sincerely, Julie Glandt

Adoption Tax Credit Now Refundable
Changes in the adoption tax credit will help families regardless of their tax burden. Families who adopted from 2005-2009 benefit from full refund and to a limited extent for families who adopted in 2003-2004. The credit can be claimed one time for each adopted child. For more information about how this might apply to your family, visit Adopttalk or contact your tax advisor. |
