More Fun with TWO!

Big sports fan?  Want two boys to cheer along with you?  Two brothers ages 10 months and 7 years are waiting for you.  The boys have some developmental delays, but you are fortunate to have social histories for both and we are waiting for updated medical information.  If you are ready to skip the wait for referral and begin the happy memories, then contact Angela today.

CAS has several waiting children.  See more on the
Waiting Children page.
For questions about waiting children, contact Angela Jackson, our waiting child coordinator.  She will be able to guide you through the different programs and application.
Gifts to Support Children!
In Honor donation cards are available year round.  A $10 donation is suggested to help vulnerable children.  You will receive a card to send stating a gift has been made in the recipient's name.  You may also give memorials of loved family members or friends to CAS.  To donate to CAS and receive one of the cards, please contact Cindi Rager.  Please remember to tell us who the card is honoring or remembering.

News to Note:  February 2011
Greetings!

We have kicked off the year in a wonderful way; five families have come home with their children!  Several of our programs are outperforming our expectations and we are ready for families to begin their journey.  In the program news below you will find the countries that are in need of families.

You asked for it and now we have our "Adoption How To" section.  After speaking with many families about their needs at the beginning of their adoptions, we have selected a few topics for this new section.  This month we will highlight the country selection process.  We hope this serves you well.  Please let Siri Scott know if you have other topic ideas.

Adoption How To:  Choose A Country

Adopted Children Having Fun

As you begin your international adoption journey, choosing a country can be confusing.  So we, with the help of families who have adopted, have put together some tips to help you select the country.

(Click here to see the full article on our website.)

First:  Eligibility

One of the fastest ways to narrow down your choices.

Second:  Children Available

What age of child would you like to adopt?

Third:  Travel Requirements

What would you like the in-country experience to be like?

Fourth:  Culture Comfort

Are there traditions that you would love to incorporate into your family?

Fifth:  Cost

Influencing factors & assistance available

These five steps will help you narrow down your choices.  If you are considering a few countries and are not sure which way to go, contact families who have adopted from those countries and talk to the program coordinators.  They may offer insight that will answer many questions.

Good luck on your adoption journey.  We are excited to be a part of it!
