A CAS Family Remembers the Children Left Behind with a Gathering of Friends!
Written By Emily S.
For us, the party was super-easy to host. We invited our friends over for a great gathering, but paused a moment to talk about the great services that CAS offers to children around the world as well as point out how indebted we are to CAS for helping us to bring Thomas home. We then showed the video and everyone dug in! We placed buckets (in our case, pumpkins since it was close to Halloween) at every bar that we set up with the "thank you" card from CAS propped in front as well as a simple note saying that 100% of all monies donated would go directly to CAS. It was easy.
The party, however, was just the beginning, because by sending out a simple email to our friends and family that lived out of town and attaching the link to the wonderful CAS video, we received just as much money and even more donations. By including the email in our fundraising, we were able to reach families outside of our area, as well as those that were able to give more financially.
We received $1000 at the party and another $1300 by sending out the email. All in all, it really was an easy party to give.

Beautiful Holiday Cards Now Available!
In the tiny country of Moldova lives the very talented water color artist, Ion Carchelan. This artist uses his native country's quaint beauty to depict everyday scenes with precise detail and vibrant color. The painting, "Children in the snow," captures the fun of being a child in winter. The children in this painting live not far from a more stark reality in Moldova. There are thousands of children in Moldova which live in orphanages and boarding schools who will never know the pure joy and excitement of just being a child. They are caught in the bleak circumstance of survival and existence. Ion Carchelan and Molee Fine Art have donated to Carolina Adoption Services fine quality holiday greeting cards to help raise money to support these orphaned and needy children.
You can help too by requesting these holiday cards to give to your family and friends. A small donation of $5 for each card will certainly help CAS further the mission of helping needy children have better lives and brighter futures.
