Greetings!

Thank you for signing up to receive e-mails from the Tennessee River Gorge Trust while visiting the Farmers Market at the First Tennessee Pavilion.

It's almost summer and the Gorge is alive with beautiful displays of wildflowers, butterflies, and the life that comes with an abundance of rain.  Please check out our most recent newsletter at the link below.  This quarterly publication will tell you about what the Trust is doing to preserve this beautiful place and how you can participate!

rope      Where is Bargin' for the Gorge in 2009?

Many of our supporters have been wondering what has happened to Bargin' for the Gorge in 2009....and we want to tell you!  In partnership with TVA, Bargin' has been the Trust's largest fundraiser each year for the past nine years, raising more than $750,000 for the organization over the course of time.  However, the logistics for Bargin' could not be worked out in 2009 in time for us to plan on this event for the 10th year.  We hope to bring it back in 2010.

However, the party must go on!  We have planned another event that promises to be equally as grand, and will cost half of the price for our supporters.  'A Gorgeous Evening' will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. - sunset at the Caldwell Family Property, just 10 minutes from downtown.  The purpose of this fundraiser is to support the Trust's effort to protect an additional 308 acres of pristine forest habitat through a conservation easement with the Stolpmann family.  Find out more about this event, as well as how you can make reservations at:

The Tennessee River Gorge Trust could not fulfill its mission of land protection, education, and stewardship without you.  Thank you for your support!
