| Making Strides in the Ride for Hope! |
Greetings! The summer season came to a close with several terrific fundraisers. It was great to see so many people with a passion to help others in need. "Back Where it all Began" held during the HamptonClassic Horse Show turned out to be a fun-filled, elegant event. Special thanks to the event chairman Stephanie Riggio for creating a successful evening. More than 1,200 eventers joined us at the competitors party during the American Eventing Championships at Chattahoochee Hills in Fairburn, Ga. Great food, dancing and an auction completed the party. The "Play it Forward" poker tournament in Las Vegas was great fun as the competition moved from the reining ring to the poker table. Special thanks to Mandi Brumley of Brumley Management Group and all our friends at the High Roller Reining Classic. Please see the "Save the Date" calendar below, so that you don't miss an event in the new year! Lots more to come on all the exciting fundraisers - especially the new Quadrathlon on Jan. 30 at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in Wellington, Fla. This competition will bring together dressage, polo, show jumping and reining. Not to mention an amazing dance party after the competition. Make sure you join our Facebook, twitter and email list - so you won't miss a thing! Each year the majority of our donations come from events, like those in this newsletter. These funds are used to help those in our community who are seriously injured or ill. In many cases, the EAF provides assistance for critical needs most take for granted - food, shelter and medical needs. Each time you buy a treasured auction item or have a great time at an EAF fundraiser - you are improving the lives of our recipients. We greatly appreciate your continued support of the EAF, its events, programs and recipients. We can't do it without you.

It was a really good time, and a really good chance to meet some new people and have some fun, all in the good name of charity." Seger also shared his good fortune, donating a portion of his winnings back to the EAF.
Each player also received a goody bag from Platinum Performance filled with gifts from Arenus, Leather CPR, Markel Insurance, Merial, Barnes and Noble, Johnson Horse Transportation, Flair Strips, Finish Line, Nutrena and EquiFit, Inc.Valley Horse News donated advertising for the event. The tournament was hosted by Brumley Management Group and the High Roller Reining Classic.

"I was overwhelmed by the support of the reining community for horsemen and women in need," said Sheryl Kursar, managing director of the EAF. "There was a lot of friendly competition. By the time we were at the final 10 players, all the spectators were on their feet cheering at every hand.
