Here's a wonderful tool for people with hearing impairments. It can be difficult to communicate with someone who doesn't know sign language. This free app called Sorenson BuzzCards allows you to create phrases and questions in flashcard form so that person can read what you are trying to say. Compatible wtih iPhone, iPod, iTouch and iPad OS 3.1.3 or later.

Roughly 10-15% of Americans are left handed. 1 in 4 Apollo astronauts were left handed. 3 out of the last 5 presidents have been left handed. You can find all sorts of fun, yet, conflicting, left-handed trivia online. But one thing is for sure, there are quite a few famous left-handers!

The 19th Amendment was Ratified, Granting Women the Right
to Vote (8-18-1920)
The movement for women's rights was elevated to the national level when the 19th Amendment was propsed to Congress in 1878. It took roughly 70 years of suffrage before the Amendment was ratified. Explore Scholastic's lessons, graphics, and historic information on Women's Suffrage.

Tech Tip #2: My Screen is Sideways!: I've done it too. You press the wrong key and your screen is suddenly reading sideways. Click CTRL+ALT+Up and it will fix it instantly. Other Keyboard Shortcuts.

Tech Tip #3: Hide Your Window: Clicking ALT + Tab will hide the current screen you are working on. Clicking that again will bring it back up - for lab teachers who want to catch students in the act! Other Keyboard Shortcuts.
