| Headaches - Neuromuscular Dentistry |
Headache is one of the leading causes of physician visits. Yet few people think of going to their dentist for headache treatment. Many people do not know how far reaching a poor "bite" may be, and can cause pain almost anywhere in the head, temples, and neck.
In our office, we use computer diagnostics, or Myotronics, to locate a proper bite for the patient. The process is simple and painless. The patient wears a light headset attached to diagnostic equipment, and the computer does the rest.
Would you like to review a checklist of symptoms or "signs" that you may need to have your bite evaluated? It is listed below. With cosmetic dentistry so popular today, it is especially important to make sure your bite is healthy prior to proceeding. A bad bite is often the cause of poor aesthetics, and if the bite is not corrected as part of the treatment process, the cosmetic procedure may be doomed to premature failure.
If you have questions after reading the "Symptoms and Signs" list, our office would be happy to provide you with further information. If you have friends or loved ones that you suspect may be suffering from these conditions, you would be doing us, and them a favor by passing this information along.
